For a Process Operator: the Gold Standard quickly identifies the key technical competencies required to operate the process and provides a structured training programme to develop the required skills.

For a First Line Supervisor: the modular training courses provides a newly promoted member of staff with the core skills to confidently take on a challenging new set of responsibilities such as delegation and workforce planning.

Gold Standard and Competence Assurance

The Gold Standard forms a key component of the competency management systems (CMS) needed to develop and demonstrate competence, it enables a company to compare its performance standards, skills and training against an external industry standard.  To facilitate this process of competence assurance we have developed a portfolio of Interventions, delivered by the National Skills Academy Process Industries. These interventions include basic and in depth competence health checks, CMS strategy review and competence gap analysis against the Gold Standard.
